We hear bad news and start to wonder why isn’t God there for us, why wasn’t He there when my son/daughter died because of a drunk driver? Why do I have cancer? Why is it me that I’m stuck in a wheel chair? I’m in pain after all these years and still aren’t healed? We all have “hard-times”. We want answers. Some have so much pain that they are bedridden. Some want to kill themselves to escape. Some just don’t get it and leave their faith. Others wonder and keep asking God, and keep their faith. Frustrated but they still pursue in God and follow the Holy Bible.
When we feel like giving up… God wants us to trust Him. He wants us to keep the faith. He wants us to continue asking questions. He wants us to experience His love. Most of all, He wants us to believe in His Son, Jesus Christ of Nazareth who died on the cross and believe in His Resurrection and is alive, seated on the right hand of His Father.
Jesus Christ IS our hope through the midst of chaos and when we are hurting. He is our strength when we feel weak. He is our Savior. He is our friend. He is compassionate. He is our eternal hope. He loves you! He cares for you! He knows what is going on but wants to let you know He will never leave your side. When you feel He’s far away, that is Him being silent. We just have to wait for His timing. God will stay quiet during a test. His ways are far off better than our ways. He knows what is best for you/for us.
Jesus Christ promised us that this life we live will never be easy. But to be encouraged in His words when He said, “He has overcome the world”.
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.
-John 16:33 NLT
Do you know Jesus Christ as your Savior today? Do you know where you will spend for eternity if you were to die today? He loves you and died for you. When you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, admit you are a sinner, repent and confess with your mouth Jesus is your Lord, you shall be saved. It’s that easy. People make it hard to become a child of God. There is no formula. Just you coming to Him with your heart and being humble enough to say, “I have sinned and in need of a Savior”. Our life is short, but eternity is for Forever. Don’t wait one more day to accept Him into your life…tomorrow may be too late.
