I have learned a lot from David and Jonathan as a Bible Believing Christian. I have been told many times about whom we are in Christ and why it’s important to share the Gospel. So far in my journey, I’m still learning and seeing many things happen. I’m only 26 and still learning something new everyday.
I’m encouraged with the Bible study I am doing called “A Country Called Heaven”. It simply tells me who I am in Christ Jesus. I am a daughter of the King of kings. When I became born again, I became a part of God’s family. A bunch of us Believers are saved only through Jesus Christ. We are forgiven, I am made new in Christ, I’m seated with Christ in heavenly places, I am perfectly righteous in God’s sight, and Christ lives in me. Every day I am to live as Christ did on earth but it’s hard as I am not perfect in many ways.
Jesus Christ is the only one perfect, but through Christ He sees me as perfect. I make mistakes BUT repentance is an importance principal in the Christian’s day-to-day life. Not one time of the week (such as on Sunday’s). I want to obey Christ every day, I want to live for Him everyday, and I want to be a shining light everyday.
Making mistakes will happen but God wants us to be humble enough to admit we done something wrong. Only Jesus Christ is perfect, but because I have become a follower of Jesus Christ, and repented of my sins and believe in Him, I am made perfect through Christ. He did everything for me. He died on that bloody cross. He was resurrected from the dead. He knows each of us by name and has our names written in His book.
Ephesians 2:4-6 NLT
But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so very much, that even while we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s special favor that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ, and we are seated with him in the heavenly realms—all because we are one with Christ Jesus.
Galatians 4:4-5 NLT
But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children
2 Corinthians 5:20 NLT
We are Christ’s ambassadors, and God is using us to speak to you. We urge you, as though Christ himself were here pleading with you, “Be reconciled to God!”
Romans 5:10 NLT
For since we were restored to friendship with God by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be delivered from eternal punishment by his life.
1 John 3:2 NLT
Yes, dear friends, we are already God’s children, and we can’t even imagine what we will be like when Christ returns. But we do know that when he comes we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is.
Romans 8:2 NLT
For the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you through Christ Jesus from the power of sin that leads to death.
1 Peter 2:9 NLT
But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are a kingdom of priests, God’s holy nation, his very own possession. This is so you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.
1 Corinthians 10:31 NLT
Whatever you eat or drink or whatever you do, you must do all for the glory of God.
Titus 2:11-13 NLT
For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with self-control, right conduct, and devotion to God, while we look forward to that wonderful event when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed.
1 Peter 5:5 NLT
You younger men, accept the authority of the elders. And all of you, serve each other in humility, for “God sets himself against the proud, but he shows favor to the humble.”
Matthew 24:42 NLT
So be prepared, because you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.
